As a Senior Web Designer & Developer / Team Lead, you’ll lead an amazing group of Web Designers and Developers who create cutting-edge, engaging websites for healthcare clients. This position serves as a subject matter expert on design and front end development and is responsible for setting the direction of the team, prioritizing the team’s work, and working across teams to achieve organization-wide goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

While you might get to work on just about anything at Geonetric, you’ll primarily:  

  • Lead the team’s creative strategy by following web design and development trends and ensure Geonetric remains at the cutting edge of technology
  • Prioritize the work of the team based on business value, client need, and team constraints
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor on both design and front end development work
  • Consult and advise clients on web design topics based on their needs
  • Transform complex designs to web while incorporating usability, testing and speed best practices
  • Test sites to ensure compliance with web standards, accessibility requirements, cross-browser functionality, and multi-devise capability
  • Develop in a variety of technology platforms, including Geonetric’s VitalSite platform, WordPress, and Drupal; develop templates utilizing HTML, CSS and JavaScript 

Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, marketing, web development or related field or equivalent experience
  • Five years of experience in interactive design and web development required (eight years of experience is preferred)
  • Progressive leadership experience and an amazing online portfolio

Professional Skills

  • Required: Semantic HTML, CSS, JavaScript and/or JQuery, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/Fireworks
  • Preferred: Adobe Flash and ActionScript, and experience with responsive design techniques

  • Occasionally may require overnight travel to client meetings.
